Barreda Lotes Reservados No. 10 Doble Robusto

The defining feature of Barreda Lotes Reservados No. 10 Doble Robusto is its 5 x 54 double robusto format built as a sandwich style cigar, designed to offer a longer smoke with medium strength and plenty of flavour while keeping the line in a more affordable segment. Handmade in Nicaragua, it uses Nicaraguan wrapper and binder, while the filler combines one whole, very aged leaf from the Honduran Jamastrán valley for structure with selected cuttings from Barreda’s higher end lines such as Don Chico, ensuring quality tobacco despite the mixed filler approach. This “reinforced medium filler” construction is not scrap; it is carefully sorted leaf that delivers good draw, firm ash and a satisfying feel in the hand even if it does not show quite the same complexity as long filler cigars.

Flavour wise, the official tasting note for Lotes Reservados No. 10 highlights a bold smoke of medium strength full of recognisable roasted flavours, subtle spicy touches and a surprising menthol freshness that leaves a clean, cool sensation on the palate. In the double robusto length, this profile has room to stretch out, moving from core roasted and toasty tobacco into more spice and that characteristic fresh note without becoming harsh, making Barreda Lotes Reservados No. 10 Doble Robusto a strong everyday choice when you want a bigger, flavourful Nicaraguan cigar that still feels easygoing on both time and budget.
