This is a medium-thick sliced, perfectly prepared flake. While Burley doesn’t stand out much in the tin note, which is more balanced with grass, hay, and dried fruit, a thorough rub-out reveals more sweet grass and a hint of spice. The Burley really comes to life in the smoke, adding a rounded fullness to the flavor. There’s also a light, clean Perique tang on the retrohale.
