The tin note presents grassy and wheaty aromas with a hint of fruit on top. When I smoked it, I expected a bright Virginia flavor but was surprised by a bready, dark fruit note reminiscent of red Virginias. There’s an almost cereal-like quality to the taste. The top note is only slightly noticeable in the aftertaste, which I suspect contributes to the added sweetness—definitely a nice touch. It seems to blend the best characteristics of bright leaf Virginias and reds, along with everything in between. Very enjoyable, and I believe this will age wonderfully.
