Barreda Don Chico Vintage Habano Chairman

The defining feature of Barreda Don Chico Vintage Habano Chairman is its long aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan long filler core and Indonesian binder in a 6 x 60 Chairman size, giving this cigar a longer medium to full bodied experience with smoother roasted coffee, nut and cedar notes than the standard Don Chico Habano. Crafted by the Barreda family in Estelí to honour their grandfather Francisco “Don Chico” Barreda, the Vintage Habano expression refines the house Habano profile of tradition and balance by using carefully matured tobaccos from different Nicaraguan regions to enhance depth while keeping the blend composed. The 6 x 60 format ensures a slow, cool burn with abundant smoke, and its oily Habano wrapper, neat cap and firm packing support an even burn line and reliable draw from the first light all the way through a long session.

On the palate, Barreda Don Chico Vintage Habano Chairman highlights the Don Chico hallmarks of roasted coffee, gentle spice and wood, now rendered with extra smoothness and a slightly more rounded finish thanks to the aged wrapper. Expect a progression from mild spice and umami with subtle nuttiness into fuller cedar, leather, pepper and a touch of coffee in the later stages, with strength sitting solidly in the medium to full range without becoming harsh. This makes Barreda Don Chico Vintage Habano Chairman an appealing choice for smokers who enjoy classic Nicaraguan Habano character and want it in a longer, more polished 6 x 60 format suited to unhurried evenings or pairing with whisky or rum.
