Barreda Don Chico Maduro Robusto

The Barreda Don Chico Maduro Robusto has a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper paired with both a Nicaraguan binder and fillers, creating a medium to full bodied cigar loaded with rich coffee, cocoa, caramel sweetness and well judged peppery spice that stays balanced throughout the smoke. Blended by Oscar Barreda in honour of his grandfather Francisco “Don Chico” Barreda, this robusto reflects the family’s aim to capture the essence of Nicaragua in a flavour forward yet refined profile, handmade by local artisans using carefully selected tobaccos. The 5 x 54 format offers a comfortable burn time and solid construction, with a dark, oily and slightly toothy wrapper, firm packing and a clean cap that support an even burn and reliable draw.

From the first draws, expect a burst of peppery spice especially on retrohale, quickly joined by caramel sweetness, dark chocolate, espresso and earth, with cedar, leather and a touch of mint and nuts emerging as the cigar progresses. The overall strength sits in the medium to full range, but the flavour delivery stays composed and creamy, making Barreda Don Chico Maduro Robusto an appealing choice for smokers who enjoy rich, dessert like maduro profiles that still feel balanced and approachable in an everyday robusto size.
