Barreda Don Chico Maduro Chairman

The Barreda Don Chico Maduro Chairman’s impressive 6 x 60 size combined with a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over both a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers, creating a long medium to full bodied smoke full of rich coffee, cocoa, caramel sweetness and lively peppery spice that stays balanced to the end. Blended by Oscar Barreda in honour of his grandfather Francisco “Don Chico” Barreda, this Chairman vitola extends the acclaimed Don Chico Maduro profile into a slow burning, larger ring format that showcases the family’s Nicaraguan heritage and focus on flavour driven, premium construction. The 6 x 60 dimensions produce cool, voluminous smoke and a leisurely burn, giving more time for the San Andrés wrapper and Nicaraguan core to reveal layers of flavour while a firm pack and neat cap support an even burn and steady draw.

On the palate, Don Chico Maduro Chairman offers a familiar maduro progression starting with a burst of pepper on the first draws and retrohale, quickly joined by caramel sweetness, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and earth. As the cigar develops, notes of cedar, leather, toasted sugar, nuts and a slight herbal or mint nuance can appear, adding complexity while the strength remains in the medium to full range and the texture stays creamy rather than harsh. This makes Barreda Don Chico Maduro Chairman a strong choice for smokers who enjoy rich, dessert like maduro profiles and want that character in a longer, unhurried 6 x 60 format ideal for extended evening sessions or pairing with aged rum or whisky.
