The plug has good moisture upon opening, dense but manageable. After slicing and breaking it up, about 10 minutes of drying time was enough. You can detect subtle fruity undertones in the casing. The Virginia brings a light fruit sweetness, while the Burley adds an earthy depth, with a consistent burn rate. It doesn’t bite, and overall, it seems like a solid blend. While it might not be something to cellar extensively, it will certainly age well and offer a nice change of pace in the future.
